Management

Jim Elliott — Chief Executive Officer

M.E.Sc., B.A.Sc., B.Sc.

Jim Elliott holds degrees in Engineering Science from University of Western Ontario, Bio-Resource Engineering and Cell Biology at University of British Columbia.

He has extensive global experience establishing world-class manufacturing operations and leading technology commercialization. At MIMA-PRO, Mr. Elliott oversees the transfer of advanced technologies from China to Canada and directs the development of an integrated manufacturing facility across the Medical, Scientific, and Industrial product platforms, ensuring compliance with good manufacturing practices.

Advisor

Bert Kelm — Technical Advisor

B.Eng.

Bert Kelm holds a Bachelor of Engineering and has a distinguished background in electrical and control systems engineering. His career includes work with Automatic Switch Corporation, founding and serving as COO of Ingress Logic Systems, and leadership roles as Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Special Projects Entrepreneur at Honeywell Controls.

Mr. Kelm provides strategic technical guidance supporting MIMA-PRO’s engineering innovation and product development.

Engineers

Dr. Yang — Senior R&D Manager

Ph.D. & M.Eng.

Dr. Yang holds a Ph.D. in Electromagnetic Theory and Microwave Technology and a Master of Engineering in the same specialty from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC). He was also a Ph.D. candidate in Computational Electromagnetics at McGill University and a Visiting Research Scholar at Griffith University, Australia.

With more than 20 years of experience in substation grounding studies, electromagnetic environmental assessment, transient analysis, and cathodic protection design, Dr. Yang brings deep expertise in advanced electromagnetic and microwave technologies. He leads key research and development initiatives at MIMA-PRO.

 

Jian Liu – Senior Electronic Engineer

D.E.P., B.Eng.

Jian Liu holds a D.E.P. in Automated Systems in Electromechanics from Rosemount Technology Centre (Montreal, Canada) and an Undergraduate degree in Automation Instrumentation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China.

Mr. Liu has more than 25 years of experience in the development, design, and testing of industrial, commercial, and medical electronic systems. His expertise includes analog, digital, power electronics, embedded system development, multilayer PCB design, RF/microwave circuits, and electronics manufacturing. His career spans high-voltage instrumentation, fiber-optic sensing systems, power electronics, industrial heating systems, and automated control equipment, contributing deep practical engineering knowledge to MIMA-PRO’s product development efforts.

 

Binghui (Robin) Liu — Electronics Engineer

M.Sc., M.Eng. & B.Sc.

Robin holds a Master of Science in Energy Management from the New York Institute of Technology (Vancouver Campus), a master’s degree in Optical Engineering, and a bachelor’s degree in applied physics from Jilin University.

He has 10 years of experience as an electronics engineer in China, specializing in embedded software and firmware development, PCB design, circuit integration, and C++ programming. His background includes projects in photoelectric conversion, signal processing, data acquisition, and automatic control systems. Robin supports electronic system development across MIMA-PRO’s product platforms.

 

Ye Liang — Mechanical Engineer

B.Eng.

Ye Liang holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering from Zhaoqing University and brings over 10 years of mechanical design experience.

He is proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, specializing in part modeling, assembly design, engineering drawings, BOM preparation, and technical documentation. Ye contributes to the design and optimization of MIMA-PRO’s advanced medical device systems.
