Principle of Microwave Biology

  • The microwaves emitted by the microwave antenna (probe or cup) pass through the tissue around the exposed antenna, causing the water molecules in the tissue to vibrate and oscillate in the 2450MHz microwave alternating electromagnetic field, and then generate heat.
  • This is the principle that microwaves can be used to treat tumor ablation, auxiliary anti-inflammatory and wound healing.
